Operations & Maintenance

As the waste management industry has matured and the scope of its activities and responsibilities has expanded, the operations and maintenance (O&M) activities for environmental control systems have increasingly been outsourced. Whether for open and closed landfills, outsourcing this specialty allows the waste management industry to focus on its core strengths. Compliance with environmental regulations at most landfills requires active care and maintenance well past the typical operating life of the landfill (often 30+ years).

American Environmental Group, Ltd.’s (AEGL) O&M Division is focused on the successful operation of landfill environmental control. These services involve much more than simply monitoring and data collection. As a result, our clients benefit from the value-added approach inherent in a comprehensive bundled group of services. AEGL’s field staff is much broader in terms of experience and approach.

AEGL’s team offers trained, qualified technicians with OSHA certification, Daniels Gas Chromatograph certification, and heat fusion expertise. Additional, on-going training involves SWANA seminars, flare schools, extensive in-house training, and more. AEGL field technicians are directed by local, professional support staff.<

From three operations centers, the O&M Division serves landfills nationally. Key services include:
